The National Association of REALTORS has been surveying home buyers for about ten years. This ongoing survey has proven useful over the last decade for being able to predict trends. For instance, it should come as no surprise that one of the most effective tools for marketing homes is the Internet, and that trend will likely continue to grow stronger as the years go by.
Over seventy-seven percent of buyers are turning to the Internet first to start their home search. After this initial search they call an agent to help them with the buying process.
The survey also confirmed that traditional methods of marketing, such as the newspaper, Yellow Pages, open houses, and a simple sign in the yard are still effective means of reaching potential buyers. Buyers still enjoy driving around and looking for signs in the neighborhoods that interest them.
At CENTURY 21 Mike Bowman, Inc. we do more to advertise to attract buyers for your home than anyone.
