About the Irving Boys Baseball Association

Irving Boys Baseball Association (I.B.B.A.) provides baseball recreation for boys 14 years of age and younger. Games are played at fields located in Irving and all across the metroplex. The leagues are arranged in order based on age which is determined as of April 30.

Leagues

  • Shetland League (Ages 4-6) The Shetland League is also referred to as T-Ball.
  • Pinto League (Ages 7-8) This league is also referred to as Coach Pitch. The coach pitches to his own players and is a fast moving game. The kids are learning more about hitting in this league and also fielding.
  • Mustang League (Ages 9-10) This is the first year that the players really play the game overall. This league marks the start of players pitching and stealing bases and building a foundation to the complete game for the rest of their playing experience.
  • Bronco League (Ages 11-12)
  • Pony League (Ages 13-14)

This is the final stop before the kids get into High School.

Special Leagues

  • Southwest Classic League (Ages 7-14)

The IBBA is teaming up with Southwest Classic Baseball to offer more opportunities to the kids of Irving. The IBBA will allow a limited number of teams from each league to become part of the Select League. The teams will play their home games at Trinity View Park. The away games will be played at surrounding cities that are also part of Southwest Classic. Each kid must register with the IBBA to be eligible to play in this league. Those funds will then be credited to the amount the team must pay Southwest Classic.
