Michael Owens
IT Director

Michael Owens serves as the IT Director for CENTURY 21 Mike Bowman, Inc. Prior to joining the company, Michael was a software developer for Nova Information Systems, the nation's third largest provider of merchant payment processing services, and the Electric Power Research Institute for structural engineering design and analysis software.

A native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Michael received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He received a grant for postgraduate studies in chemical engineering from the Saturn Auto Corporation. He has worked as a process design engineer for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and for the environmental restoration program at the Department of Energy K-25 Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

Michael has written for the Linux Journal and the C++ User's Journal, and was recently featured in the Dallas Morning News. He is also author of The Definitive Guide to SQLite, available at Amazon.com
