Bowman Welcomes Professional Athletes
to a Realtor Meeting
GRAPEVINE, Texas (May 18, 2010) – Mike Bowman hosted a special real estate professionals meeting featuring professional athletes: Reggie Barnes, Rocket ismail, and Jen Welter. Each of these athletes discussed how they have made an impact both on and off the field.

Reggie Barnes, a former outstanding Dallas Cowboy, he is working with Century 21 Mike Bowman, Inc. to create an NFL Benefit Program across the nation. This is where retired and active NFL players work with young people teaching them the correct way to play the game and also helping to build character and positive attitudes.
Rocket Ismail was nicknamed "The Rocket" because of his speed, having been timed at running the 40-yard dash in 4.12 seconds while at Notre Dame. In 1999 Rocket Ismail joined the Dallas Cowboys as free agent and wore 81. That year he recorded a career high of 1,097 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Jen Welter is with the Dallas Diamonds Professional Female Football League. With the Diamonds Jen won four championship titles and six All Star selections. She graduated from Boston College where she played collegiate rugby for 4 years with MVP honors. In her first season the team went undefeated and the following year she was voted All-Pro. She has also been selected to Team USA for the Professional Female Football League.
"I am very excited to have these outstanding individuals attend meeeting," said President Mike Bowman. "All of these outstanding individuals have made a positive impact in their sport, in their communities and in the lives of many others. Each one has a story of their struggle to overcome adversity and become part of the sport they love. Through their hard work and dedication and positive attitudes, striving to be the best they can be, each one has achieved their individual goal. It is a great honor to have this talented group here."
Bowman added, "It is my hope that by telling their successful story, they will inspire all of us to strive to be the best we can be in our chosen profession, real estate. Real estate is a lot like sports, you have to practice daily to enhance your skills to become better. You set daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals and a road map on how to accomplish these goals. The road map you follow is not always easy but if you get knocked down you get back up and move forward. The one quality that these individuals have that is imperative for success is that they never, never, never give up."
